UPCOMING EVENTS
(Please check back often for upcoming events!)

Sramana Yoga Gathering at Fort De Soto, Saturday, October 24th celebrating our 9th anniversary!

Come and join your fellow Sramana Yogis, their guests and family for a very social but safe picnic at the Fort De Soto County Park on Saturday, October 24th from 11AM till sunset. Fort De Soto is located at the southern tip of Pinellas County, 3500 Pinellas Bayway South, Tierra Verde, FL, 33715.

We have secured Shelter 7, which can accept 50 people, but we are limiting our outing to a maximum of 25. The shelter is open air, with 12 picnic tables for seating in the shade and 6 grills. Restrooms and changing facilities are available.

Bring your own picnic meal, cooler and drinks, and enjoy social distancing with your closest yogi friends. Fort De Soto has numerous activities, including kayak rental, trails for walking or biking, swimming beach, a pier and the historic fort itself.

To add a little mystery to our outing we are planning a scavenger hunt starting at high noon! The shelter will be ours for the day (we rented Shelter 7 in the North Beach area) so feel free to stay as late as you want and enjoy the sunset! The park closes 1/2 hour after dusk.

Because of the limit of 25 attendees we do need everyone to pre-register via email (sramanayoga@gmail.com), text or call (phone: 727-365-2219). Also, please let me know if you are interested in joining us for a 1 hr paddle adventure in a protected inter-coastal bay before 11am (kayak / canoe / SUP rental available).

Looking very much forward to seeing you there!

Sacred Tea Ceremony with Ashley Smith

Saturday, October 8th, 2016
2:00PM – 3:30PM
Cost: $44 – Preregistration is required

Sacred Tea Ceremony is a journey into the Heart. We come together and sit in silence as we connect to the ways of the ancients. Each bowl of tea gently guides us into a meditative softening, an opening to our inner realms. Through this space that Tea creates we are able to listen, to truly hear our Highest Selves. The leaves used in our ceremonies are extremely unique in that they are all organic and come from, wild, old growth trees and plants that are sustainably grown and harvested by farmers who love, respect, and understand the power of this medicine. Living Tea, as it is known in my tradition, has the power to cleanse, purify, ground and heal the Spirit, and when treated as ancient medicine, will guide us to subtle areas within that will be gently healed and processed. Qi is balanced and with each ceremony we are born anew. This practice draws from ancient Taoist shamanistic practices, Zen Buddhism, and traditional Chinese tea ceremony.

Tea found Ashley while she was living abroad in Taiwan in 2014. Ashley had the great fortune of studying with Internationally recognized Tea Master, Wu De, of Global Tea Hut. The practice that has been shared with her has completely changed her life, bringing her to a place of deeper purity, greater connection and powerful inner peace and one that she takes refuge in every single day.
